Last night Kody P. brought Nipsey Hussle, Freddie Gibbs, J-Dawg, and Propain to the stage at Warehouse Live for a long but enjoyable show. The show started off with an extremely solid performance by Propain who brought out Doughbeezy, Delo, and Marcus Manchild before handing the stage over to J-Dawg who ran through pretty much all of his Houston anthems before bringing out BHO head Slim Thug, and Z-Ro. After a short break Freddie Gibbs hit the stage and ran through hits from each and every one of his projects while cutting the dj off and doing 4-5 verses completely acapella which further showed how talented the Gary, IN native really is. At around 12:30, the Marathon Man himself; Nipsey Hussle hit the stage to a roaring crowd who couldn’t get enough. Although most artists follow a strict set list when performing, Nipsey looked to the crowd to basically create his set list on the go and taking requests song after song while never letting the energy die down. Nipsey is an artist that I have known about for a long time but haven’t really taken the time out to listen to him but after going through his projects this week and seeing him rip the stage at Warehouse, he has added another fan to his movement and I can’t wait to see what he does next.
